Our team

Dan Crow
Director
Dan founded ‘a space’ arts after graduating from Solent University with a degree in Fine Art in 1999. Frustrated at the lack of exhibition space in Southampton he applied for a £500 grant from Hampshire Cultural Development Trust and since then has brought several buildings around the city back into public use. He spends his spare time painting in the studio at the bottom of his garden and taking his whippet Peggy to the New Forest.

Dill Ghafoor-Burman
Finance and Admin Officer
Dill is the ‘a space’ finance and administration officer with more than ten years of experience in the arts and heritage sector. She particularly enjoys problem solving, financial analysis, and working in a small team. Outside of work she loves to binge watch Netflix but also takes pleasure in being outdoors. She is an enthusiastic reader and cake baker. Three things you may not know about Dill: she’s a Muslim; she was an extra in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries; and she’s been white-water rafting down the Zambezi.

Mia Delve
Creative Programme Officer
Mia is the project and programme officer at ‘a space’ arts. For GHT she coordinated the Stories Behind the Stones exhibition, coordinating our historians and exhibition designers and sourcing stock for the shop. She also leads on the exhibitions, events and activities programme at Old Northam Road. A graduate of Winchester School of Art, Mia is interested in generating opportunities and providing support for emerging artists in the region. Mia is also a committee member and curator at K6 Gallery, as well as a filmmaker and visual artist. She is mostly Cornish, but grew up in Plymouth and enjoys running, reading and being by the sea.

Rachel Adams
Marketing and Communications Officer
Rachel is marketing and communications officer at God’s House Tower. She particularly enjoys creating content and getting the word out about all the fantastic events at GHT. She is also a photographer and works on personal projects, usually documentary portrait projects, outside of work.

Hannah Preston
GHT Projects Officer
Hannah looks after the creative programme and operations at God’s House Tower. She is passionate about making GHT a welcoming space for all, about Southampton history and heritage, and about creating interesting and accessible events and programmes.
In her spare time she enjoys playing the recorder, Bingo and spending quality time with her dog, Ralph.
