SUMMARY:Art Journaling for Wellbeing
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:Creative Wellbeing at GHT is a programme of art-based short courses designed to promote, reflect upon and build positive wellbeing and resilience whilst fostering a supportive, creative community. Art Journaling is a creative safe space to create your own visual language to help process emotion and encourage creativity. These workshops are a place to play with mixed media, explore new materials and explore how you feel in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. These sessions will help you develop a deeper self-awareness and understanding. Over a period of six weeks you will prepare your own journals, learn and be inspired and supported by each other. Our experienced tutor, Deborah Porter, will lead you through free flow writing, mindful mark making to help you silence your inner critic, teach fun new art techniques and introduce home found and other objects to stencil, make marks, print, collage and play. The only requirement for Art Journaling is to allow yourself to be in the process and not worry about the final outcome. You don\'t need any prior art skills to enjoy and benefit from these workshops. Dates This six week course takes place every Saturday morning at 09:30-11:30 from 18th September - 23rd October. Cost The cost of the full course is £160 and includes a materials pack. Courses can also be booked individually as taster sessions in advance or on the day. Book your place here About the Tutor Deborah Porter graduated as an illustrator and graphic designer in early 90’s. My mission is ART FOR ALL and to enable and open a creative path to help teenagers and adults with their own wellbeing and development.\" Creative Community Cafe After each session you\'re invited to stay and join us in the cafe where you can enjoy 10% off the full menu when you show your workshop booking.
