SUMMARY:Architecture Through a Shared Collaborative Process
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:‘a space’ arts and God’s House Tower (GHT) are pleased to present an exciting new exhibition from Southampton design collective, Studio B.A.D Architects, as they launch an innovative 2023 programme. ‘Architecture Through a Shared Collaborative Process’ celebrates four years of working collaboratively and highlights the process and potential in working collectively to achieve inclusion and equality.  The possibility that architecture can be developed through shared collaboration is an ambition and lived experience for Architects Studio B.A.D, based here in Southampton. The practice ethos is to collaborate with clients, designers, architects, artists and academics to bring a range of voices and perspectives to enrich their projects. The process is inclusive; all collaborators are equal. The practice works with community groups through a process of listening initiated at community consultation workshops to develop shared visions and goals with the client body. The practice develops proposals with clients that are about the long-term sustainability of the community, with the architectural practice as partners in this relationship. ‘Architecture Through a Shared Collaborative Process’ by Studio B.A.D is free to visit and on display at God’s House Tower from Friday 20th January until Sunday 22nd January 2023. You are also invited to join Studio B.A.D for a drinks reception to celebrate the Architecture Through a Shared Collaborative Process exhibition, as part of the 4th anniversary celebrations. The event will take place on Saturday 21st January 2023 from 6pm - 9.30pm at God\'s House Tower. Tickets are free and can be booked on Eventbrite here About Studio B.A.D Studio B.A.D Architects are a talented collective, working collaboratively across the private and commercial sector to deliver thoughtful, rich design solutions. Set-up in 2019 by architect Darren Bray, Studio B.A.D Architects have studios located in Southampton and South and work predominantly across the South and South West, with projects including Southampton book shop ‘October Books’, The Summer Lounge at Guildhall Square, and the re-imagination of Bedford Place.  At the core of Studio BAD’s ethos is the concept of re-use; believing in the power of reimagining buildings, districts and spaces, to create engaging and reanimated places across a multitude of project types. Studio B.A.D Architects firmly believe that architecture holds the potential to be a vehicle for social and economic change for the better.
