An evening of folk poems and dramatic monologues inspired by the shadows of the Tower.
A gathering: Come and join the actors at play, dreaming for us lives lived along the river, in the city streets and in the shelter of the stone walls.
A calling: The sea was just a few steps away – GHT has its own salt music. There were sisters who rowed, and children who were transported. This place of justice and injustice was full of voices.
A quickening: Lives lived, found in the archives, breathed into and spoken new.
This specially created film (approx 10′) acts as part one, an introduction to the stories and voices of the Tower. Part two, the live performance event, will appear in the live programme when GHT reopens.
Tickets will be available for 1 week from 9th – 16th May. A ticket purchased after 6pm on any day between those dates will be sent the link the following day to view the film.
While our doors are shut we are working hard to continue supporting artists and performers in the City who are currently facing unprecedented hardship. To help us to continue this work please consider donating to ‘a space’ arts. The suggested contribution for this event is £4.
