Join us at GHT for an afternoon of music and poetry, presented by the God’s House Tower Poetry Stanza Group. This event will be on held in the Crawford Room at God’s House Tower on Sunday 4th October. Tickets cost £7.50.

The God’s House Tower Poetry Stanza Group is a self-organised gathering for lovers of the written word. The group have been meeting every month at GHT for five years, sharing their own and other’s poetry.

For this year’s National Poetry Day, the group will come together to showcase their diverse responses on the theme of ‘wonder’, a timely call for us to appreciate the fleeting nature of life, our joys and sorrows, and the oft-forgot connections between us and Nature.

Joining the group will also be Tim Rushworth, leader of the Southampton Classical Guitar Society Guitar Ensemble, as well as guest poets, David Robinson (facilitator of Play on Words) and Anita Foxhall (facilitator of Write a Note).
