We are very grateful to Hampshire Archives Trust for their donation of £8,000 to GHT.
The money will go towards digitising plans for a prison at God’s House – drawn up by architects and builders in 1786 and sealed with approval by the town mayor.
Thanks to the Trust, our programmes manager Tony Spencer and historian Dr Cheryl Butler will be able to use the plans for exhibitions and educational materials – as well as to inspire artists to make work for GHT.
Exciting!
