We have done our best to make sure God’s House Tower, a Grade I listed building, is as accessible as possible and that everyone is made to feel welcome.
The ground floor including the cafe/bar, library, shop and toilets are all fully accessible.
The Collections and Contemporary Galleries feature a changing exhibition programme and are fully accessible by lift or stairs.
The Tower exhibition – Stories Behind the Stones – is not fully accessible as creating physical access to the Grade I listed tower was not possible without causing significant and irreversible interventions into the historic fabric. To create access to the Tower exhibition we have developed a virtual reality tour which is accessible via free-to-use headsets.
We have: 1 accessible toilet, 4 gender neutral toilets, 1 gents, 1 ladies.
Dogs are welcome on the ground floor, uniformed assistant dogs are welcome.
Our information is available in large print format and a range of foreign languages.
Descriptive tours are available on request – please let us know in advance of your visit.
Blue Badge Holders park for free on Winkle Street which is approximately 10 metres from the venue
If you have any special access requirements please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 02380 338 778.
