With our big reopening just around the corner, you can now book your visit to God’s House Tower!

Discover the dark history and turbulent past of GHT with Stories Behind the Stones, our immersive exhibition that explores the origins of GHT and Southampton’s Old Town. As you climb the tower of this historic 700 year old building, you will uncover stories about the weapons that were stored at GHT, the gunners and the gaolers who worked here and the prisoners who were held here against their will. From the top of the tower, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Southampton skyline.

During your visit you can also explore our changing exhibitions showcasing contemporary works by local artists, browse a selection of carefully curated works by Southampton artists in the GHT Shop and enjoy a tasty treat in the new GHT cafe and bar.

We’ll be keeping you safe during your visit. In line with government guidance we are operating at a reduced capacity and booking before your visit is encouraged. We have installed hand sanitisers throughout the building as well as implementing a regular cleaning regime to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable experience.
