We are delighted to welcome local illustrator Melissa Donne to the GHT Shop! Get to know more about Melissa and her work with this little introduction she wrote for us.  

I’m an illustrator living in Southampton where I work on freelance illustration projects and also design prints and cards for my business, Melissa Donne Studio.

I studied Fashion Design at University which helped to cement my love of colour and pattern and that is evident throughout my work. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Film and Cultural Management from the University of Southampton.  

I am strongly influenced by botanical illustration and like to give it a contemporary and playful feel. My work is also inspired by abstract art and features bold colour combinations.

All my work is printed professionally in the UK.  I work with digital illustration to produce vibrant Risograph Prints as well as a digitally printed range.  I am also very interested in sustainability and use biodegradable packaging and recycled materials where possible.

I am delighted to feature my products in the GHT shop and work with a local Arts establishment which supports and champions local artists.
