Earlier this year, we asked the public to vote for their favourite design as we commissioned a new neon artwork for the GHT Cafe and we are delighted to announce the winning design by Southampton-based artist and poet Jo Fisher is now installed!

Inspired by the city and referencing Jo’s Personal experiences as a resident, this text based design is taken from a line in a poem Jo wrote about Southampton. The sentimental artwork promotes the notion of unity and community as integral to the city’s identity and as an exciting new addition to the cafe, it provides a strong and positive message for the public as they visit GHT and embrace the past, present and future of Southampton.
