Join us for a comedy brought to you by the team behind Something Comedy. This time we’re hosting a solo show performed by Hatty Preston, hosted by Verity Babbs.

Hattie Preston: Toxic Waste

London-born, Chicago-built comedian Hatty Preston is touring her acclaimed debut show: ‘Toxic Waste’.

Fast making a name for herself on both sides of the pond after opening for comics such as Chris DiStefano, Theo Von, Jessica Kirson and Jack Whitehall, and as seen on TV shows including ‘The Royals’, ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘Call The Midwife’, Hatty is now undertaking her biggest adventure to date: trying for a baby by herself.

‘Toxic Waste’ is the show her mother just feels “could be slightly more ladylike”, her agent didn’t care about because it wasn’t at the Edinburgh Fringe, and her ex has spent the last 8 years dreading might happen.

Like Adele. With fewer key changes.

Host for the show is Verity Babbs:

Verity Babbs is a Southampton-based writer and presenter from Northampton. She graduated with a History of Art degree from the University of Oxford and her work focuses on making the art world more accessible and introducing fine art to new audiences.

Verity is the founder of ‘Art Laughs’ – art-themed comedy events which made their Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2022. Babbs is also a stand-up (“dizzyingly entertaining” Cherwell), sketch (“wild and hilarious” Oxford Opening Night), and improvised comedian.

During her time at the University of Oxford, she was co-president of the Oxford Revue and performed regularly with the Oxford Imps (“mention must go to Verity Babbs… a few of the best gags of the day” Broadway Baby).
