Capturing Southampton’s Gay Scene 1960-1999

Were you on the gay scene in Southampton in the late twentieth century? Which pubs, clubs or other meeting places did you frequent? We want to capture your memories, photos and ephemera from that era.

Join Dr Clifford Williams (author of an ‘A-Z of Queer Hampshire’) for a short talk on Southampton’s LGBT history, followed by a chat about `the old gay scene.

About this Event:

This talk will be taking place in the Crawford Room which does not have step free access. The talk will last around 30 minutes and will be followed by an informal discussion exploring recollections and memories of Southampton’s old gay scene.
